Barnstable, Massachusetts Gloria Murphy 1952 — 2024 Gloria (Lambert) Murphy, 71, passed away peacefully on July 1st after a long courageous battle with COPD. Gloria was born November 17th 1952 in Caribou, ME to Norman and Millie Lambert. Her family eventually settled in Springfield, MA. She grew up the youngest of three girls. She cherished her sisters, Helene and Susan, and the sisterhood they shared throughout their lives. Gloria was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield. At 19 years old she survived a near fatal motorcycle accident. The accident left her with lifelong physical challenges but she never let that slow her down.
