Dr. Harrison was very kind and compassionate, and also very thorough. Not once did I feel rushed, which is rare at an appointment!

He understands my long term GI goals and works me on what options I have.

I pointed out to him that at 86 and 81 my husband and I fall into the geriatric range and there are few geriatric specialists as opposed to pages of pediatric specialists. He told me he began as an internist and that family physicians also train to treat patients as all ages. As I told him we suffer from that terrible disease called OLD AGE and that is what everything is blamed on. Well, you're old and your body is basically dying as all living things eventually do and that is why we are experiencing pain and lack of energy.

I felt he was polite and listened to me express the problem, but was not willing to do anything but suggest one option and not very committed to that. I was greatly disappointed that he realized that the problem was there at the end, but was ready to move on. The only physician I've seen at Community with that attitude.

Thank you for not overlooking my pain although test results show no problems. However, you're willing to get to the bottom of it by ordering more tests. I Just, unfortunately, can't afford to continue to get a medical test that doesn't get to the bottom of my medical issue. I wish the medical industry would help out single people and do not require that they are dirt poor before assisting them. Forwarding this message on to congress.

I have been under Dr Harrisons care for about 10 years or so now. He is always genuine and caring when I meet with him and always responds in a timely manner and does his best to get the best treatment for my Crohns and keep me as healthy as possible.
