This year, we decided to host an adult Halloween party, complete with festive food and Halloween co*cktails to help our friends get in the spirit too! One thing I love about a pitcher of Sangria is how simple it is to pull together. Everyone should have an easy, customizable Sangria recipe on hand for all of your party needs.

For a delicious, fruity Sangria, you want to pick a wine withfruit-forward flavorsthat don’t have a super-high alcohol content. If you like sweet wine, a sweet red blend is perfect for Sangria. Cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, or even lambrusco are good red wines for Sangria as well.
Can I make Halloween Sangria with white wine?
I think the deep red color of red wine is perfect for spooky season, but if you aren’t a fan of red wines, you certainly can make this recipe with white wine! Simple Syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups water
Red Sangria
- 2 bottles cabernet sauvignon (750 milliliters each) (or other red wine of choice)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier or Triple Sec)
- 24 ounces club soda, chilled
- 2 oranges, thinly sliced (plus additional for garnish)
- 1 cup fresh blackberries (plus additional for garnish)
Instructions
Bring sugar and 1 1/4 cups water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, and let stand 10 minutes.
