Yep, the chest next to your bed at Oleg's is your party storage. It is also moved to your kingdom later (when you get a kingdom). Items don't lose their enchantments, they just become unidentified. Once you pick them up again, they're fine.
If a fighter fails a Fortitude saving throw, he can die, lose STR or CON, or become completely incapacitated. Either way I think Will and Fortitude are both important. 1-5 I would say Fortitude is more important. Will saves are for weak effects or low level spells while Fortitudes are for poison, death, or disease.
