Delphine Duke 1809 North St reported to city police that someone kicked in the front door 7 Ex governor denied bid to stay out of prison PHOENIX (AP) A judge has rejected former Gov ife Syming ton's request to remain free While he appeals his bank fraud convic tion meaning he may begin serving a 2 l2 year prison sentence next week ife has to go in he's pre said his attorney John Dowd Dowd said he was optimistic about the chances of winning an appeal of Tuesday's ruling by US District Judge Roger Strand before the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals Both sides agreed however it was unlikely Symington actually would begin serving his sentence on March 20 as scheduled since motions could extend his freedom to early April attorneys' had argued before Strand that they have a strong case for
